Rejection Sensitivity: a six-week group course
If rejection, criticism, a delayed reply, feeling left out, or the possibility of getting something wrong can feel disproportionately painful, overwhelming or consuming, you’re not alone.
This six-week online group course offers a compassionate, practical space to understand rejection sensitivity, recognise how it shows up for you, and build more choice in how you respond.
It isn’t about becoming less sensitive or never feeling hurt. It’s about understanding the pattern, reducing shame, and finding ways to feel steadier when your system goes into threat mode.
About the Course
What we'll explore
Over six weekly sessions, we’ll explore:
-
What rejection sensitivity is and why it can feel so intense
-
Your personal triggers, body signals, protective responses and inner critic
-
Ways to build a steadier, ADHD-friendly nervous-system baseline
-
Practical tools for moments when rejection sensitivity hits, including night-time spirals
-
How to ask trusted people for support in ways that are genuinely helpful
-
Self-compassion, shame, avoidance, and taking small steps back towards the things that matter to you
How we'll work
This is not a lecture course. It combines clear, accessible information with gentle, practical exercises and opportunities for reflection.
We may use creative metaphor, expressive writing, Time to Think, nervous-system and grounding practices, habit-stacking, and carefully paced self-compassion exercises.
Everything is offered as an invitation rather than a requirement. Cameras are optional, there is a right to pass, and the group will be designed to be spacious, respectful and non-shaming.
Who it may suit
This course may be for you if you often find yourself:
-
Replaying conversations, messages or feedback for hours or days
-
Feeling intensely distressed, angry, ashamed or shut down after perceived criticism or rejection
-
Trying to avoid feedback, difficult conversations, social situations, applications, dating, or sharing your work
-
People-pleasing, over-explaining, withdrawing, or reacting quickly when you feel misunderstood
-
Wanting more self-understanding and practical ways to respond with greater steadiness and self-compassion
The course is likely to be particularly relevant for neurodivergent adults, while being open to anyone who recognises this pattern in themselves.

A gentle place to start
Not sure whether the course is right for you?
I run occasional free Rejection Sensitivity taster workshops. In these sessions, you’ll learn a little about what rejection sensitivity is, why it can feel so powerful, and experience a few gentle examples of the kind of reflective and practical work we’ll do in the full course.
You can also book a free discovery call if you’d rather talk it through one-to-one.
Interested in exploring this further?
If you would rather talk things through first, you are welcome to book a free, no-pressure discovery call. We can explore whether the course, one-to-one coaching, or another form of support might be a good fit for you.
